Computrad is committed to maintaining Excellence in Execution of all of our services including taking seriously our corporate social responsibility (CSR). On the 22nd April 2012, our Non Executive Director, Air Commodore Gordon Moulds CBE, ran the London Marathon to raise money for a sensory/contact room for a special needs school in Bedfordshire.
This was Gordon’s first ever marathon and it follows being seriously injured in a major aircraft accident. Before joining us, Gordon was Commander of Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan where he was also responsible for coordinating the Cyber operations of all the numerous Nations operating in his Region.
We decided to make KidsOut our “Charity of the year” for 2012 and will be working closely with them in the future. KidsOut is the only charity in the UK dedicated to bringing fun and happiness into the lives of disadvantaged children. KidsOut is a charity based on action rather than words, making a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged young people. They help tens of thousands of children every year across the country who may have escaped domestic violence or come from difficult backgrounds; they may have been excluded from school, have a life limited disability or be socially or rurally isolated.
We would like to thank all who sponsored Gordon and Computrad in this very worthy venture.
