Computrad want someone capable of selling service and technology led solutions based on the below.
Our whole value proposition and USP is about NOT selling technology for technology's sake.
We sell ourselves by saying its almost irrelevant to us what the client needs to use for their nuts and bolts equipment on their network. Often IT and Network Managers think they are making "strategic" investments into for example deciding to partner with HP for their server infrastructure or to partner with BT for their MPLS wide area network. These decisions are actually NOT "strategic" they are simply tactical. The reason this is the case is for example because the network could be swapped out for a broadband network instead or the HP server could be changed to a Dell server platform instead. The only things which are truly STRATEGIC are the applications being run for the business. They cannot simple be swapped out with ease. They are running the lifeblood of the whole business's process and to change them would involve changing the business and the way it functions and behaves. We simply understand that the software running on networks is the lifeblood of all organisations and we work with our clients to ensure that we focus all of our energies on these applications performing as they should do.
No one else does this or has this approach.
They simply put the networks in and say the job is done now so you can stick your applications on it now.
The only correct way to ensure their business applications run is to work at the application layer known as a layer 7 network model for all of our solution and service offerings.
What this means is the way we deliver networks is different to anyone else in this market.
We are an application centric network integrator and we are proud to say that we are way ahead of the curve and the only one of our kind currently.
We intend to keep our competitive advantage by partnering not just with best of breed vendors for our services and solutions but by utilising our years of technically developed intellectual property that has been grown and nurtured in house.
We are not a me too integrator selling the run of the mill security solutions into the usual verticals. We would not offer any value to our customers by for example selling Cisco into the legal or finance markets. Why would anyone want to buy from Computrad in these areas when they could go to Computacenter for example ?
This is why we have developed niche solutions based around our chosen vertical market specialisations. NO other integrator can offer for those solutions into our vertical markets.
We sell into 2 verticals only which are online gambling and US Military.
We sell security into the US military who are the most paranoid security conscious group of people on the planet so if they trust us with implementing their security solutions I am sure others can appreciate our ability to execute in their environments.
We have developed some specialist services for eGaming including an eGaming website performance improvement audit, Gambling credit card fraud reduction service and DDOS Mitigation solution as well as a startup Casino solution in a box which is marketed as a DAAS (Data centre as a Service).
We sell into these seemingly 2 disparate vertical markets but they are both very similar. They both require extremely high performance networks, mission critical levels of resiliency and availability. The software applications for either the warfighter needing to communicate via the network back to base or the live horse racing online gambler simply cannot have delays or unreliability in their networks. It involves the risk of losing lives or costing the gambling operator organisations billions of pounds if their network and applications do not functions.
With this in mind we offer another industry first since we offer a managed service based on the application performance and not just uptime and we can offer an end to end service which we can benchmark and offer performance SLA's not on just the network infrastructure which all of our competitors offer but on the actual performance of the software application running on the network which is more in tune with happy and acceptable user performance
We know our specialism in our chosen highly in demand niche and verticals better than any other player in the market.
Computrad are looking for someone who has worked for a smaller reseller who actually can sell and is not afraid to hit the phones to create business.
We need someone who knows Citrix solution offerings such as Netscaler, Xenserver and Xen Desktop for server and desktop Virtualisation.
We also are offering application aware next generation network security firewall solutions that people like Checkpoint and Cisco simply cannot compete with. Also wan optimization and managed application delivery and optimization again at layer 7 for application intelligent Load balancing application delivery control solutions.
All of this coupled with our own intellectual property of uniquely implementing and measuring the actual experience of using applications on a network gives us our unique way of selling our service consultancy and solutions
Computrad was formed in 1991 and we are a small company with 22 employees but with a turnover in excess over six million pounds turnover with very healthy profits and credit ratings.
All Computrad staff are usually graduates and have at least three years experience within the IT industry.
